The name of each Catholic parish has a special meaning or patron. Our parish is under the patronage of the Most Blessed Sacrament. On Feast of Corpus Christi - the Solemnity of The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ - we celebrate the charisms and gifts particular to our parish. Updates on the progress we've made toward the 2022 goals for our 4 main strategic focus areas, and some key questions every leader in the parish is being asked to answer before launching (or restarting) any initiative or offering.
The Parish Council met on February 17 to share the 2022 goals for each of our main strategic focus areas: Evangelization & Discipleship, Liturgy, Pastoral Outreach, and Parish Operations.
Our parish mission roadmap is focused around 4 key areas: Evangelizaton & Discipleship, Liturgy & Encounter, Pastoral Outreach, & Parish Operations. We have seen some great growth in all of these areas in the past few months, and are excited for the plans coming out of each area for the coming months. St. Mary's Rectory to become a house of formation.
Parish Trustee Elections will be held May 1 & 2. MBS staff and leadership participated in a webinar with parishes around the Diocese of Green Bay to talk about how we have restructured, reorganized, and reoriented ourselves on mission in the past year.
The Parish Pastoral Council has been restructured to support our parish mission roadmap and will be re-engaging in the coming month to assist in developing and implementing a strategic plan to help move our parish forward in the 4 key mission areas identified in our Mission Planning Roadmap. We are currently looking for parish council members who are interested in helping our parish bear measurable fruit in the 4 key mission areas.
The annual meeting was an opportunity for all our parishioners to hear the updates on our parish stabilization plan for responding to the COVID crisis over the past few months and our parish mission plan and roadmap for the coming year.
